THE DON

Award-Winning, Amateur Photographer.
[Average Pinot Philosopher.]
Born and raised in New York: Don Thiergard is a storyteller, conversationally & visually. His photography captures fleeting moments of intimacy, balance & wonder in a world often lacking all three.
While Thiergard is recognized nationally for his award-winning photography, his story stretches farther & his impact further. He's worn many hats in his lifetime: educator, entertainer, traveler, but the one thing he’s never been?
A stranger, to really anybody.
To know Don is to know a friend, and we're not the only ones saying it. Noteworthy publications - including The New York Times & The Huntingtonian - have showcased Thiergard's sincerity and commitment to his community. Not to mention decades of philanthropic efforts advocating for life-changing nonprofits like St. Jude's, Shriners Hospital for Children, Alzheimer's Research Center, Tunnels to Towers, and Hamilton College.
Today he spends his time living fully with his loving wife, surrounded by his family and close network of friends. When he's not relishing in life's finest offerings? You'll catch him reminiscing on his remarkable legacy of love, and the thousands of students, friends, and companions who have defined it for the last 80 years.
